PEACE ON EARTH----GOOD WILL TOWARDS MEN!

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11

I just spent an entirely awesome Christmas Eve at a friend's home with some "salt of the people". By this I mean you could call them down to earth, hardworking, never say die, honest
sincere, friendly, giving, God-fearing, family loving, no put up with any garbage from ya, country loving and aware group you could count on.

Now when you find reverence in a simple sharing of getting together for dinner, singing songs, sharing the gospel of Jesus' birth, reading some awesome mediational poem, helping each other and enjoying each other without prejudice and yes --some gift giving for the kids from one of them dressed as a super looking Santa... How could you not love America!

What we have given up in most of the country is what it is all about about folks. What we do is fill up our minds and hearts with commercial culture crap and call it "REAL". What it is is a shallow substitute for GOD and all his people.

We who know this love and message from above cherish these things. We who have grown up believing and accepting God's message to us as the REAL DEAL.... shed a tear tonight for you lost souls...

For tonight we celebrate as " a Savior is Born a who will shed his light upon ALL men".

Things to understand from gospel are...

Luke 1:30-32 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

The point is that Jesus (although a king) was born in humble circumstances. Even in his family’s home town, he was in temporary accommodation, with an improvised bed. One lesson we see here is: "Importance is not a matter of one’s environment or the supposed status that things bring. Rather, importance is a function of one’s role in God’s work"

The enthusiasm of the shepherds did not cease when they found the Savior. When they saw Jesus they "made known concerning the saying which was spoken to them about this child." Their news was to joyous to keep to themselves so they proclaimed to all that could hear. When you have a good thing you want to share it with others.

Today, the hearts of many are like that little inn of Bethlehem; crowded with sin; crowed with worldly cares, pleasures, prizes and pursuits; and crowed with human wisdom; so much so that they have no room for the Savior in their lives. Jesus said: "Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any may hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20). Will you open the door of your heart and give the Savior room in your life?

Merry Christmas and to all a good night!
