All the players from both parties were there. Some good may not come out of this charade however. The concluding remarks by Dear Leader exposed what is to really come. It is not any attention paid to what we the people want or is it to really include any of the Republican suggestions to lower health care costs or even make the system improve in the ways it should. It is going to be by fiat or reconciliation! It will be Rahmnned down our throats by the Democrats and we won't have any choice except to vote the bastards out come next fall! And then again the rest of them in 2012

This show by the President whom I now think is a true "snake charmer and snake oil salesman" was a sham wow!

Obama will be in his element, talking and lecturing, the law professor framing the debate. He'll spend hours being seen as reasonable. The Republicans will balk and the president will shrug. He'll sigh and say he tried to reason with them but they refused.
Then once the cameras are turned off, he'll take out the baseball bat and explain how things get done ---The Chicago Way.

For the rest of us, however, it was mainly an opportunity to see how many conciliatory-looking poses Obama could strike while listening to his Republican opponents explain why the entire first year of his administration has been a gigantic waste of time, and why the telephone directory-sized health Bills produced by both the Democrat-controlled House and Senate should be fed into a shredder the size of Connecticut, before they . . . well, no one seems to know exactly what these vast pieces of legislation would do.
